Japanese cheesecake, Montréal style.

Soufflé is a Montréal Japanese cheesecake shop with three locations: the Village (1215 Sainte-Catherine Street East), Central Station (895 De La Gauchetière Street West) and Galeries d’Anjou. We do one thing, and we do it with care: a light, airy cake, topped to order.

Plain or topped with pistachios, caramel, chocolate, coconut or fresh fruit. Also in a to-go cup and as mini taiyaki. Every cake is stamped by hand with the Soufflé seal.

FAQ

Questions? We’ve got answers

What is Japanese cheesecake?
It is a very light cheesecake, also called soufflé or cotton cheesecake. Whipped egg whites are folded into a cream-cheese batter that is baked gently, traditionally in a water bath. The result is airy and jiggly — less dense and less sweet than a New York cheesecake.
Where are you?
Three shops: 1215 Sainte-Catherine Street East (the Village, Beaudry métro), 895 De la Gauchetière Street West (Central Station, Bonaventure métro) and 7999 Boulevard des Galeries-d’Anjou.
How much does a cake cost at Soufflé?
In store, Japanese cheesecakes cost $8.99 to $11.49 small, $16.99 to $20.99 medium and $26.99 to $32.99 large. Cups are $9.99 and $11.99, mini taiyaki start at $8.99, and each extra topping is $0.75.
What are the most popular cakes?
The Classic (no toppings), the Royal Dubai (caramel, crunchy kunafa, Dubai chocolate and pistachios) and the cake topped your way are among the most liked on Uber Eats.
What are your hours?
The Village: every day, noon to midnight. Central Station and Galeries d’Anjou: see each shop’s hours below. Holiday hours may vary.
Which shop is open the latest?
The Village shop, at 1215 Sainte-Catherine Street East, is open every day until midnight. The Central Station and Galeries d’Anjou shops close earlier, between 5:30 pm and 9 pm depending on the day.
Do you deliver?
Yes — all three shops are on Uber Eats and DoorDash. Counter pickup works too.
What sizes?
Every cake comes in small (S), medium (M) and large (L) — the large is perfect for sharing or a party.
Are prices the same everywhere?
Menu prices are our in-store prices. They can differ on Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Allergens?
Our cakes contain dairy and eggs; several toppings contain nuts (pistachios), coconut, chocolate or gluten. Ask the team before ordering.
Do I need to book?
No: these are counter shops. Drop by whenever, to eat in or take out.
